The device of three crowns, staff, rose and thistle encircled with the motto, 'TRIA IUNCTA IN UNO'('three joined in one') refers to the united kingdoms of England, Scotland and Ireland. The Order was established on its present basis in 1725. Inscribed 4:14" on the bottom of the shank. C.1780 .

This scarce and attractive tablespoon has an engraved feather edge and a large Windmill engraved on the front of the handle.

The back of the handle is stipple engraved M. Meyer 1807 and has the unusual Osterndorf town mark of a cow jumping over a fence, the maker's mark IHF and 12L.
