Scottish sterling silver stuffing spoon by William Marshall having a full set of Edinburgh Hallmarks for 1804 and the Anderson family crest surmounted by the Latin motto: Pro Bello Vel Pace or Prepared for War and Peace. We have a pair of these available. The price is for one spoon. Each spoon has the same Crest and Monogram and the same Y Date mark for 1804. The crest, which depicts an upright sword surrounded by a Laurel wreath, is above an ornate, period monogram: TAA. This handsome, useful and important legacy of the Anderson family is 12" long and weighs 98 grams or 3.2 ozs. Troy. Inscribed, monogrammed and crested as described above, the soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing. English sterling silver stuffing spoon in a wonderfully executed bright cut pattern by Hester Bateman having a full set of London Hallmarks for 1784. With no duty mark, dates from May 1 - Nov 30.

This very desirable example of Bateman's work has an ornate, contemporary script monogram within the shield shaped cartouche created by the bright cut design: DH. The bowl has a long drop ad the handle is down turned, with the marks being extremely well struck.

This very special stuffing spoon is 12" long and weighs 121 grams or 3.9 ozs. Troy.

The elegant bright cut design is in excellent condition and the bowl has wonderful definition.

Antique English sterling silver stuffing spoon by Thomas Chawner, London. Inscribed "TRIA JUNCTA IN UNO" inside a circle in ornate period script. The device of three crowns, staff, rose and thistle encircled with the motto, 'TRIA IUNCTA IN UNO'('three joined in one') refers to the united kingdoms of England, Scotland and Ireland. The Order was established on its present basis in 1725. Inscribed 4:14" on the bottom of the shank. C.1780 .

This attractive stuffing spoon measures 12" long and weighs 4.6 ozt.

The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.

The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering. Inscribed as described above. The maker marks are unreadable due to age.
