This attractive and unusual scroll form brooch has hand engraved scroll and floral decorations and is 2" wide, 1 1/2" wide and had three hanging hand made gold chains suspended from it lower edges. The brooch weighs 13 grams and has been carefully tested for gold content and found to be at least 14K.

South African sterling silver large hand hammered Arts & Crafts styled cuff bracelet made by Kurt Jobst of Johannesburg, c.1950.

Jobst was born in Austria in 1905 and learned his trade there. He died in South Africa in 1971.

This striking cuff bracelet is hand made and has a wonderful; hammered finish


An excellent opportunity to own a stylish example of work by a craftsman seldom seen outside of his native South Africa, the bracelet is in excellent original condition, with no monograms, removals, repairs or alterations. The finish is excellent, with the desirable hammered finish being present.

Chrysanthemum Kodansu Jewelry Box Japanese Sterling Silver Meiji 1900

Japanese sterling silver and dark, open grained wood 4 drawer jewelry box from the late Meiji Period, c,1900.

It is hard to know where to start with this wonderful 4 drawer Kodansu form dresser top jewelry box.

The entire surface is covered with wonderfully detailed engraved chrysanthemums and the Moko shaped handle is mounted on blossom escutcheons which conform to those on the drawer pulls.

When the two doors, suspended by ornate, strap work hinges, are opened, the beautiful interior is revealed, framed by engraved scenes of Mt Fuji on each inner silver panel. One has a stream running under a foot bridge, the other with a temple on a wooded hillside.

The doors are secured by a strap work hinged clasp conforming with the door hinges.

Each of the four pull out, graduated size drawers has a button pull framed by a blossom escutcheon, with the bottom drawer having a double ring compartment.

Each drawer is lined in plush red violet velvet.

The box sits on a wide, undulating bracket full perimeter foot.

This very special jewelry box is 6" ta;;, 5 1′2" wide and 5" deep. weighing 1430 grams or 46 ozs. Troy.

Livery Badge 18K Gold Worshipful Company Of Painters Master 1904 London

English 18 K Gold London City Livery Badge for the Worshipful Company Painters and Stainers issued to George Clulow, who was Master from 1904 - 1905, by F. Cook, manufacturing Jeweller, having a full set of 18K London Hallmarks for 1909.

The livery badge comes with its original blue and white woven silk neck ribbon, to which is attached an white enameled star rosette from which the badge is suspended by a Hallmarked jump ring.

The badge itself has the Arms of the Company in blue, red, white and black enamel, with the Company′s motto: Amor et Obedientia, or: Love and Obedience being below.

The emblazoned shield is supported by two Rampant lions and topped by a winger Griffin sitting in a crown.

This very special and extremely scarce Livery Badge comes in its original presentation box from the maker:

The box has a velvet backed swing out fitted panel for the Badge. The ribbon fits behind the hinged panel. The box has white satin lining.

The Badge, ribbon, ribbon clasps, and box are all in superb condition, with all of the enamel being intact.

The badge alone weighs 45 grams and is 1 3/4" wide, and 1 7/8" tall. The box is 5 7/8" long, 3 3/4" wide and 1 1/8" deep.
